Activities

Villa St. Joseph’s activity programs are tailored to each resident’s preferences and needs. The Resident Council and individual residents provide regular input into the types of activities offered.

Activities are provided daily (including evening and weekends) and include:

  • Religious Services - Mass & Interdenominational Services are offered regularly

  • Games- table games, Wii games or iPad games
  • Individual visits
  • Service Projects for the community

  • Special Life celebrations - Anniversaries, Birthdays, Family Events
  • Outings in the community
  • Family days - Two annual events include: Family Fest & Light Up Night

Each of the four neighborhoods has a Learning Circle that meets each month. The circle includes residents, staff and family members who share ideas and help to create a home-like enviorment.

The activity programs provide a wide range of social and learning opportunities for residents. Included in these activities is a focus on music, art and theater as a way of meaningful self-expression.

Villa St. Joseph activity calendars are filled with a variety of engaging activities for the residents to enjoy! Come join in the fun with your loved one or take a sneak peek at what your loved one may be doing each day. Activities and the Arts – Research has shown the benefits of using the arts as a way to promote healing.  Villa St. Joseph collaborates with Sweetwater Center for the Arts and other local arts groups to provide art experiences for personal growth.  Stop by and see the resident artwork on exhibit on  the first floor at our “art gallery.” 

Activities and Dementia Support – Villa St. Joseph’s Fontbonne Neighborhood for residents with dementia is dedicated to providing “in the moment” activities for residents that engage and stimulate.  A full-time activities staff provides regular programs for resident that range from special breakfasts, sharing memories in discussion groups, and sing-a-longs.
